I try my best to keep up on all the latest kitchen trends, so I was quite excited when I read that SodaStream released a gorgeous new Limited Edition Gold Pure machine just in time for the holidays. It has an elegant gold and black design, with the same wonderful features of the Pure soda machine. We all know how much of a soda addict I am, and because I thought the Gold Pure machine was so fabulous, I contacted SodaStream to see if they would work with me on another promotion. Let’s just say I was thrilled with the results!!
SodaStream makes four models of home soda makers. The Fountain Jet, Genesis, Pure and Penguin are all capable of making delicious sparkling water and soda. What I like about SodaStream is that they are an “Active Green” company, which means consumers are actively reducing their CO2 footprint every time they use their SodaStream machine, instead of buying it from the store.
One of the many ways you’ll be helping the environment by using a SodaStream machine is that you can operate each one without the use of batteries, electricity or plumbing, so you have the advantage of taking it with you anywhere you go! There’s also no need for wasting plastic bottles, because each machine comes with two reusable BPA-free carbonating bottles. The best part is that not only will you be helping the earth, you’ll also be saving money. Each bottle of SodaMix makes 33 cans of soda, which comes out to only 25 cents per can!! (And the flavors are super tasty!!)
The Genesis machine is super slim, which means it will fit comfortably just about anywhere. …even in my tiny kitchen! What I love about this specific SodaStream soda maker is that when you attach the bottle, all you do is slide it right up into the machine and twist. You don’t have to move any part of the machine for it to fit, so it’s incredibly easy and only takes a second to attach.
For those of you who have yet to try a SodaStream soda maker, using it is truly a breeze! Just add tap water to the liter bottle, twist it into place on the machine and add a few squirts of carbonation. Remove the bottle from the machine and add your favorite flavor. That’s it! I’m not kidding when I say even a child could use this machine. It’s great to have on-hand for parties and BBQ’s, or just to have at home instead of spending money on store-bought soda or seltzer.
