One of the things I absolutely love about writing a food and kitchen blog is hearing about all of the fabulous recipe contests! Although most of my blog content is based on food and kitchen products, I have a true passion for cooking and baking…and a serious competitive side!
I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing Lindsay Olives and I can say without reservations, their products are amazing! That’s why I’m happy to inform you that they are kicking off a recipe contest on 5/10/2011 at 12:00:01 a.m. pst! The good news is that you still have until June 30th to create a recipe that includes Lindsay Olives. The even better news is, they are giving away some amazing prizes: Cash, cash, and more cash! And who couldn’t use a little more of that?!!
Judging Criteria
Thirteen winners will be selected based upon the following criteria:
- Creativity – Are you using olives in a fun, new way?
- Originality – Has the recipe been done a hundred times before, or is it one-of-a-kind?
- Practicality – Would the average person have the time and basic skills to make the recipe?
- Sensibility – Do the ingredients make sense together? Does it taste good? Could someone really eat it?
- Follows-the-rules – Entries must adhere to the contest guidelines.
Contest Prizes:
- One grand prize of $1,000 cash will be awarded to our favorite recipe from all categories.
- Six first prizes of $250 cash will be awarded for the top recipe in each category.
- Six second prizes of $100 cash will be awarded for the runners up in each category.
