Shrimp Tacos

Spiced, seared shrimp in warm tortillas with crisp slaw and lime crema - a fresh taco night in 20 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 500 g shrimp
  • 8 tortillas
  • 2 cups cabbage, shredded
  • 2 lime
  • 1 tbsp chili powder

Instructions

  1. Toss shrimp with chili powder, cumin and salt.
  2. Sear in a hot pan 90 seconds per side.
  3. Mix cabbage with lime juice for a quick slaw.
  4. Fill warm tortillas with shrimp, slaw and lime crema.

💡 Chef's tip

A crunchy cabbage slaw, not lettuce, is what stands up to the hot shrimp without wilting.

Cooking the shrimp in a screaming-hot pan for just 90 seconds a side gives a light char while keeping them juicy - the most common mistake is overcooking them to rubber.
