Bibimbap

Bibimbap

A vibrant Korean rice bowl topped with seasoned vegetables, beef and a runny egg - mix it all together and dig in.

Ingredients

  • 2 bowls cooked rice
  • 200 g ground beef
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1 each carrot and zucchini
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Season and saute each vegetable separately; set aside.
  2. Cook the beef with soy, garlic and sesame oil.
  3. Fry the eggs sunny-side up.
  4. Top rice with everything and a spoon of gochujang; mix to eat.

💡 Chef's tip

Use a hot stone or cast-iron bowl if you have one - the crispy rice crust that forms at the bottom is the best part.

Seasoning and cooking each vegetable separately (rather than together) is the heart of bibimbap - it keeps every color and flavor distinct until you mix them at the table.
