Bacon-Wrapped Chicken
Bacon-wrapped chicken is juicy chicken breast wrapped in crispy bacon with a lightly sweet, savory glaze. The bacon bastes the chicken as it bakes, keeping it moist while adding smoky flavor. It is an easy, low-carb dinner that feels indulgent.

- 4 chicken breasts
- 8 slices bacon
- 2 tbsp brown sugar or sweetener
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- to taste black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200C (400F).
- Season the chicken with paprika, garlic powder, and pepper.
- Mix the brown sugar with a little paprika and rub it over the chicken.
- Wrap each breast in two slices of bacon.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until the chicken reaches 75C (165F).
- Broil for 2 to 3 minutes to crisp the bacon, then rest and serve.
💡 Chef's tip
Finish under the broiler for a couple of minutes to crisp the bacon, since baking alone can leave it soft.
Wrapping the chicken in bacon self-bastes the lean breast as the fat renders, solving the classic problem of dry chicken breast.
