Ingredients
- 12 cups popped popcorn
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup corn syrup
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 120C (250F) and spread the popcorn on a large baking sheet.
- Melt the butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup, then boil for 4 minutes without stirring.
- Remove from heat and quickly stir in the baking soda, vanilla, and salt; it will foam.
- Pour the caramel over the popcorn and toss to coat.
- Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Cool completely so it crisps, then break apart and serve.
