Garlic Butter Steak Bites

Garlic Butter Steak Bites

Garlic butter steak bites are seared cubes of tender steak tossed in a rich garlic herb butter. They cook in one pan in under 15 minutes for a fast, impressive low-carb dinner. Serve them on their own or over mashed cauliflower to soak up the buttery sauce.

Ingredients

  • 600 g sirloin steak, cubed
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Pat the steak cubes dry and season well with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the oil in a skillet until almost smoking.
  3. Sear the steak in a single layer, in batches, until browned on all sides.
  4. Reduce the heat and add the butter and garlic.
  5. Toss the steak in the garlic butter for 1 minute off the heat.
  6. Sprinkle with parsley and serve.

💡 Chef's tip

Add the garlic and butter at the end off the heat; the residual warmth infuses the butter without burning the garlic.

Searing the steak cubes in a single layer over high heat is essential, giving each piece a deep brown crust instead of steaming them gray in a crowded pan.
