Mango Avocado Salad

Mango avocado salad is a refreshing tropical mix of sweet mango, creamy avocado, and crisp red onion in a zesty lime dressing. The contrast of juicy and buttery textures makes every bite irresistible. It is a quick no-cook side that brightens up any summer meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 mango, cubed
  • 2 avocado, cubed
  • 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 2 lime, juiced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • a pinch chili flakes

Instructions

  1. Whisk the lime juice, olive oil, chili flakes, salt, and pepper into a dressing.
  2. Add the cubed mango and avocado to a bowl.
  3. Scatter the red onion and cilantro over the top.
  4. Drizzle with the lime dressing.
  5. Toss very gently to keep the avocado intact.
  6. Serve immediately or chill briefly before serving.

💡 Chef's tip

Use a mango and avocado that are ripe but still firm, so they hold their shape when tossed instead of turning to mush.

The lime dressing does more than flavor the salad; its acid keeps the avocado from browning, so the dish stays vibrant and fresh-looking.
