Strawberry Spinach Salad

Strawberry Spinach Salad

Strawberry spinach salad is a fresh, vibrant summer favorite tossing sweet berries with tender spinach, crunchy nuts, and tangy feta. A bright poppy seed vinaigrette ties it together for the perfect balance of sweet and savory. It comes together in minutes and looks as good as it tastes.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups baby spinach
  • 2 cups strawberries, sliced
  • 1/2 cup feta, crumbled
  • 1/3 cup sliced almonds
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp poppy seeds

Instructions

  1. Whisk the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, honey, poppy seeds, salt, and pepper into a vinaigrette.
  2. Toast the sliced almonds in a dry pan until golden, then cool.
  3. Add the baby spinach and sliced strawberries to a large bowl.
  4. Scatter the feta and toasted almonds over the top.
  5. Drizzle with the vinaigrette just before serving.
  6. Toss gently and serve right away.

💡 Chef's tip

Dress the salad right before serving; spinach is fragile and turns soggy if it sits in vinaigrette for long.

A touch of acid in the dressing does double duty here, brightening the berries while keeping the delicate spinach from wilting too quickly once dressed.
