Turkey Meatballs

Turkey Meatballs

Turkey meatballs are tender, savory, and a leaner take on the classic, perfect over pasta or in a sub. Baked until golden, they stay juicy thanks to a few simple tricks. They are great for meal prep and freeze beautifully.

Ingredients

  • 700 g ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200C (400F) and soak the breadcrumbs in the milk.
  2. Mix the turkey, soaked breadcrumbs, egg, Parmesan, garlic, seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Roll into evenly sized meatballs.
  4. Arrange on a lined baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  6. Serve over pasta, in a sub, or with marinara.

💡 Chef's tip

Bake them on a lined sheet instead of pan-frying for an easy, hands-off batch with even browning.

Soaking breadcrumbs in milk before mixing them in keeps lean turkey meatballs moist and tender rather than dense and dry.
